At Colcom Foods, we believe our responsibility extends beyond the plate. In 2025, Colcom contributed 3.27% of its Profit After Tax to community, environmental, and staff-focused initiatives, demonstrating our commitment to creating value that reaches far beyond business operations.
Colcom provided nearly 1,500 meals each week to children’s homes, including Rose of Sharon, Chinyaradzo, Vimbainesu, Felly Orphanage, Childline Zimbabwe, and Homefields. We also extended support to facilities for people with disabilities, such as Emerald Hill Home for the Deaf, Jairos Jiri Association, and St Christopher’s, as well as old-age homes like Shearly Cripps, Athol Evans, and Huisvergesig.
During the festive season, Colcom partnered with the Homes of Zimbabwe Foundation to deliver Christmas hams and food parcels to senior care facilities. We also contributed weekly food supplies to the Meikles Soup Kitchen, which provides hot meals to disadvantaged families in Harare.
Recognising animal welfare as an important social responsibility, we supported the SPCA and Veterinarians for Animal Welfare Zimbabwe (VAWZ).
In 2025, Colcom deepened its impact through a strategic partnership with KidzCan Zimbabwe, an NGO supporting children battling cancer. Together, we provide nutritious protein products essential for recovery, while also supporting early detection and outreach programs. This collaboration reflects our CSR focus on health, food security, and youth development—bringing hope and resilience to families facing extraordinary challenges.
At Rose of Sharon Children’s Home, Colcom hosted a Christmas party complete with a special lunch, goodie bags, and games.
We proudly sponsored the Zimstock Food and Music Festival, which drew over 5,000 attendees and raised funds for educational initiatives at Hellenic Academy. This partnership showcased Zimbabwean talent, supported scholarships and infrastructure, and strengthened community spirit through arts and culture.
Through our Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (EMMP), we prioritise efficient resource use, emissions reduction, and waste management. In 2024, we introduced reusable shopping bags to reduce single-use plastics, and by 2025, over 2,300 bags had been sold across our outlets—encouraging sustainable shopping habits.
Our farming subsidiary, Triple C Pigs, invests heavily in water security and quality. With 19 boreholes supplying potable water to staff and facilities, plus a USD 20,000 investment in UV purification systems, we ensure reliable access to safe water. Regular testing with the University of Zimbabwe guarantees compliance with national standards.
Triple C also manages the Norton Country Club, which includes a game reserve that conserves local biodiversity and provides recreational opportunities. In 2025, we maintained its infrastructure and supported wildlife, including impalas and bird species, preserving this ecological asset for the community.
Additionally, Triple C is investing annually in road maintenance to improve transport links for both operations and local communities—demonstrating our commitment to sustainable development.
At Colcom Foods, CSR is not an obligation but a cornerstone of our values. By investing in people, health, the environment, and community development, we continue to foster lasting impact across Zimbabwe.
